Package: dpkg Version: 1.10.26 Severity: wishlist
dpkg-deb uses option --vextract, -X to ...prints a listing of the files extracted as it goes, while --extract (-x) In most of the programs this is the action of --verbose option. Perhaps it would be mo consistent to offer: --verbose --extract aka -v -x Instead of the current action. If the current option cannot be changed, perhaps new option --verbose Could be added. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US) Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii dselect 1.10.26 a user tool to manage Debian packa ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
