I've talked to some people about this issue. The problem is that it's obviously a bug, but since we can't reproduce it in our setups, it's probably quite specific to your system. Therefore we have a hard time looking for what went wrong. You seem at least a bit experienced with IMAP and/or PHP. You've diagnosed that $msgs_str is empty. That should never happen. It would be a great help, if you can still reproduce the problem, if you could trace back to why $msgs_str does not have a correct value. Do you think that's possible? One more question, does the problem still surface in the newest 1.4.4 release? Not that it was knowingly fixed, but a lot of other bugs have and this might have been a side effect.
