AMD64 JIT will be supported with Mono 1.1.x, we package currently only the stable branch (1.0.x). When Mono 1.2 is released or we update the packages to 1.1.x then we have proper AMD64 support. The interpreter (aka mint) is not a solution, it's deprecated and unmaintained (was just a proof-of-concept).
