Well, I still get it in 2.8.1/2.8.2 as the report says. I don't know about 2.9, I'll try to reproduce it as soon as it enters Debian (AMD64).

Thanks,

Hi,

I just verified this report with the latest GNOME 2.8.1 packages.
There's just one subtle difference: the "View archive" menu item asks
for a program to run; indicating "nautilus" will open the file with
nautilus-text-view, which is what was done previously behind the
scenes. The rest remains as in the old report.

Oh, and File-Roller's temp directories are /tmp/fr-<seemingly random part>
now, instead of /tmp/file-roller.<pid>.<sequential #>.

Fam is version 2.7.0-6, I guess it didn't change a lot since last
report.

Do you think I should report this directly upstream?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay to reply on this. Do you still get the issue ? BTW
the embedded system has been removed in 2.9 which open external editor
like gedit now, so this bug is fixed uptream.

Cheers,

Sebastien Bacher
