For me the worst effect of this change is that C-W in an input field now closes the window/tab rather than deleting the previous word; since upgrading mozilla I've managed to lose the content of forms/wiki pages I've been entering at least a dozen times. This appears to be the cause of the change: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257405 as htmlBindings.xml is gone and platformHTMLBindings.xml no longer contains the emacs bindings. The statement in the mozilla bug that "Users who want to use emacs keybindings can configure that via gtk/gnome preferences" seems sane although I've personally no idea how to configure the gtk preferences appropriately (and don't use gnome, so don't have a dialog for it). If this change is to remain, a short HOWTO in README.Debian or NEWS.Debian describing how to get the old behaviour back would be much appreciated. --bod -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
