Package: dvd+rw-tools Version: 5.21.4.10.8-1 Severity: important Since the last upgrade, I have been unable to burn a working DVD video with growisofs when running at 8x. Every disc has been corrupt in spots. Running at 6x or slower works.
I've tried this on two different drives, and updated the firmware on one. Also tried three brands of media. The errors persist. A third drive, a 4x, has no such problem. Running growisofs via k3b, which reports writing successful even though the disc is actually bad. At lower speeds, it seems fine, but if I want to use the drive for the speeds it is capable of, the package is unusable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-20050119 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages dvd+rw-tools depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-7 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-6 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii mkisofs 4:2.01+01a01-2 Creates ISO-9660 CD-ROM filesystem -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
