Daniel, As of the Scribus 1.2.1 release I have prepared two new packages that accompany "scribus". scribus-template is a set of additional templates and scribus-doc is the one you are likely to be interested in. It contains English language general documentation for Scribus. Both new packages are in the new package queue, so it will take them some time to get into the Debian archives, non-free in the case of scribus-doc. However, if you are interested, you can email me privately or visit #scribus channel on Freenode to find out the location of my staging repository that contains these packages and is accessible via apt-get.
