I've seen the problem before, and it is indeed in send_nsca. Since regular NSCA isn't affected (only Debian seems to be), I won't fix this in the main package. I've released the "last" (barring serious bugs) release of the 1.0 series, and I don't see this as a serious bug as there's a pretty easy work-around that can be done in the Debian package of Munin. -jo (upstream) :-)
