Hi, You reported a bug in lynx .. 4 years ago. I was wondering if you could detail the circumstances under which it occurs, since I think I have an explanation.
Here is the bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=116920 I suspect that you were typeing "lynx news.bbc.co.uk.", and which lynx interprets as a request to connect to that news server, on tcp/119 (not tcp/80, as for most webservers). If you're still able to reproduce this bug, could you try also this command? lynx http://news.bbc.co.uk. That will force lynx to interpret the given url as an http request, defaulting to tcp/80.
