I wasn't puzzled by that part. :) I rather want to know if the following is sufficient: Package: python2.3-metakit Provides: python-metakit instead of having _two_ packages, one just empty. But after some more thought I can see the need for the empty additional package, I'll do that magic in my debian/rules soon. Thanks for your patience.
