This behaviour is not a kphone bug. Kphone uses inband signaling. If you
configure asterisk to use out-of-band signaling ('dtmfmode=rfc2833' or
'dtmfmode=info'), the tones are not recognized.
So you should probably set dtmfmode=inband in sip.conf.
BTW, you could make this bug wishlist instead of closing it: It would be
really nice if kphone could support rfc2833 signaling, as inband
signaling doesn't work with low-bandwidth codecs.
