It also happens to my galeon installation. PID SZ SZ RSS VSZ %MEM 15012 285628 82112 68416 328448 28.6 That is with only one blank window open (after closing the ones I was browsing on). X proccess was using 180MB of virtual memory. After closing galeon, it dropped to 88MB. It did happen with previous versions (not sure if any version didn't show this behaviour). It doesn't seem to be happening on certain pages, but always! I think it happens specialy when browsing photo galleries (ie. pages with lots of images or big ones), so it could be my X drivers although I didn't notice anything similar with other apps. I didn't have the time to test it with Mozilla alone, nor trying to use a profiling tool. I'll try to send another folow-up as soon as possible.
