Normaly I agree that new options should default to the old behaviour
but the gpg check is a security check and should default to being
secure.

The gpg check should have stoped debmirror from updating the mirror
but leave the mirror in a consistent state. Another bug concerning the
.temp/... hardlinks prevents that. If you saw breakage other than
Packages/Sources file not matching the Release file anymore then I
need more info on that.

I will try to write a NEWS file before sarge gets released detailing
all the changes since woody though. Good idea.
