It's not that I like the behaviour, it's that if the hardware
only accept 16 bytes, what do I do with the remaining 16 bytes ? Some
cards/drivers even don't accept this feature at all.
Note that this is not unique. The set of frequency and bit
available depend on the hardware, so setting a perfectly valid
frequency may return an error (like setting a 2.4 GHz frequency on a
802.11a only hardware). A lot of other features are not implemented in
all hw/driver (power management, Tx-Power, retry).
It's a pain, but there is not much I can do about it.
