Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce this problem on all of my i386
environments.
openoffice.org 1.1.3-4 + 1.1.20final+rc1-10
+ 1.1.23-1
Both are OK.

I have already subscribed debian-openoffice for long days, so you
don't need to warn me by duplicate messages :-)
This bug is really problem and I am trying to find what causes it.
