Hmm, seems to crash (or actually 'loop indefinately') mine as well. Haven't found a cause yet, as ltrace/strace/gdb has not really helped pinpointing the problem so far.
From some Googl'ing I understand that it probably is some low-level X problem, possibly related to libart.
