Hi, A consequence of /sbin/dhclient now being dynamically linked, is that it requires libs under /usr/lib, so the case of /usr on a remote filesystem such as NFS will no longer work if using DHCP. (Not entirely kfreebsd-specific, but AIUI Linux with systemd is unlikely to support such a setup nowadays?). Is it possible those libs could be installed under /lib? Thanks. # ldd /sbin/dhclient libirs-export.so.91 => /usr/lib/libirs-export.so.91 (0x0000000801259000) libdns-export.so.100 => /usr/lib/libdns-export.so.100 (0x0000000801465000) libisc-export.so.95 => /usr/lib/libisc-export.so.95 (0x00000008017cc000) libc.so.0.1 => /lib/x86_64-kfreebsd-gnu/libc.so.0.1 (0x0000000801a1c000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/x86_64-kfreebsd-gnu/libdl.so.2 (0x0000000801d7a000) libnsl.so.1 => /lib/x86_64-kfreebsd-gnu/libnsl.so.1 (0x0000000801f7e000) libisccfg-export.so.90 => /usr/lib/libisccfg-export.so.90 (0x0000000802196000) /lib/ld-kfreebsd-x86-64.so.1 (0x0000000001021000) -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: kfreebsd-amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: kFreeBSD 10.1-0-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages isc-dhcp-client depends on: ii debianutils 4.4 ii freebsd-net-tools 10.1~svn272167-1 ii isc-dhcp-common 4.3.1-5 ii libc0.1 2.19-11 ii libdns-export100 1:9.9.5.dfsg-4.3 ii libirs-export91 1:9.9.5.dfsg-4.3 ii libisc-export95 1:9.9.5.dfsg-4.3 isc-dhcp-client recommends no packages.
