How is it with OpenAFS on Debian GNU/kFreeBSD? Did anybody try to

I looked at this perhaps six months or a year ago, and have some work
in progress sitting around in a git tree.
Getting the right bits in the config/param.*.h files is not too hard, but
it seems there are many places in the OpenAFS source tree which use
__linux__ as a proxy for GNU userland or some other particular userland
feature, and these would need to be replaced with proper configure feature
checks. I did not (and still do not) really have the time available to
sweep through and make all of those changes.
