I made some progress and finally got a succesful build. A preliminar
nfs-ganesha package is available at:

Vcs-Browser: http://anonscm.debian.org/loggerhead/collab-maint/nfs-ganesha/
Vcs-Bzr: https://alioth.debian.org/anonscm/bzr/collab-maint/nfs-ganesha/

This produces 3 binary packages: nfs-ganesha-common, nfs-ganesha-doc
and nfs-ganesha-posix.

However, it still needs some cleanup before it can be useful. In
particular the default /etc/ configuration doesn't work, and it seems
to require a MySQL backend, which the package doesn't configure
automagically.
