I figured it out... well a little anyway. The journey to wireless networking in kfreebsd continues. Using the FreeBSD Handbook I was able to get the the interface to authenticate using wpasupplicant. The example given worked like a charm. However I did get some errors and dhclient would exit immediately with a return code of 1. Here's the output from wpa_supplicant showing a good connection and persisting the connection with a rekey. krakrjak@pleco> sudo wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=20, val=0, arg_len=7]: Invalid argument ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=20, val=0, arg_len=7]: Invalid argument Trying to associate with 00:60:b3:25:17:66 (SSID='zoneone' freq=2427 MHz) Associated with 00:60:b3:25:17:66 WPA: Key negotiation completed with 00:60:b3:25:17:66 [PTK=TKIP GTK=TKIP] CTRL-EVENT-CONNECTED - Connection to 00:60:b3:25:17:66 completed (auth) [id=0 id_str=] WPA: Group rekeying completed with 00:60:b3:25:17:66 [GTK=TKIP] ^C CTRL-EVENT-TERMINATING - signal 2 received ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=20, val=0, arg_len=7]: Invalid argument ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=20, val=0, arg_len=7]: Invalid argument ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=20, val=0, arg_len=7]: Cannot assign requested address ioctl[SIOCS80211, op=26, val=0, arg_len=0]: Operation not supported -- Zac Slade krakr...@gmail.com -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bsd-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
