I have a newbie question: how do I get into porting? Or rather, what resources should I look at before I attempt to port via compiling source code? I would like to attempt to port vbox for debian-kfreebsd or at least build it from oracle's source code. I've done some developing in the past in uni but haven't in a few years. Have the aptitude for programming but not the knowledge anymore.
Usual porting guidelines apply, there is also slightly outdated guide with specific GNU/kFreeBSD porting hints
