The infinite loop where emacs enters, in file xterm.c. As a workaround, this
loop (lines 9342 to 9368 in file xterm.c) could be avoided. I've tested this
and works in X and console without problems, at the moment.

Defining BROKEN_FIONREAD is a very bad idea, but I found this worked for X.
However I didn't realize that console was broken.
Anyway, I think the problem is in another place inside the loop.
