Can you please tell me the status of debian-installer on Debian
GNU/kFreeBSD?
I think the port hasn't really started yet, and I can see no code in
both our and d-i's own repo.

We miss people knowledgeable in this area :-(
Our current (outdated) installer is a hacked version of FreeBSD one.
I expect Aurelien will prepare a new one based on just released
FreeBSD 7.1. It should serve as our lenny snapshot installer,
may be it should have in /etc/apt/sources.list
http://ftp.debian-ports.org/debian-snapshot/lenny/
Unfortunately, I am not able to guide neither for d-i based installer,
neither for FreeBSD based installer.
