I also found out yesterday that the ifconfig from net-tools version 6.1-6 is broken on my machine. The last combination of packages to work for me is net-tools 6.1-4 and freebsd-hackedutils 5.2.1-32. With the latest packages I get this behaviour: $ ifconfig -a em0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_MTU> ether 0:c:76:3f:d6:72 media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>) status: active fwe0: flags=108802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST,NEEDSGIANT> mtu 1500 options=8<VLAN_MTU> ether 2:0:10:37:8d:ed ch 1 dma -1 lo0: flags=8008<LOOPBACK,MULTICAST> mtu 16384 $ ifconfig lo0 ifconfig: interface lo0 does not exist -- Konstantinos Koukopoulos <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> University of Athens Tel: +30 210 727 5404 www: http://users.uoa.gr/~kouk -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
