The point is that ISO 639-2 does not standardize langguages names in the languages themselves, but languages names in English (and French, FWIW). And, I really think that things should go the Right Way, ie change names....when they are changed in the standard. Otherwise, I deeply fear request from here and there to change language names for this or that reason (sometimes political ones).
