Today I downloaded and test the following installer:

debian-testing-i386-netinst.iso               12-Apr-2008 23:52  145M

Architecture: i386
uname -a from debug console: Linux Debian 2.6.24-1-486

Before the error "no installable kernel was found in the defined APT
Sources" in Console 4 (Alt-F4) previously error was:
Package console-tools is not found

And last message was:
base-installer: Found Kernel ´´
