I just tried to strip the Abyssinica_SIL.ttf font, re-using the freefont strip scripts and adding a range for latin: ranges="$ranges u0021:u02AF" # latin (note that this excludes all punctuation, parentheses, etc.) That gives the following result: rw-rw-r-- 1 bubulle bubulle 619012 2006-05-19 15:15 Abyssinica_SIL.ttf -rw-rw-r-- 1 bubulle bubulle 383768 2008-01-07 18:55 TTF-stripped/Abyssinica_SIL.ttf The udeb size goes from 220768 bytes to 183090 bytes
