Comments/Problems:
Fails to boot - selects incorrect kernel (k7-smp instead of Celeron etc.)
Workaround is to boot back in and using a shell and chroot install a 686
kernel.
Everything else is OK

I would have expected a 686 kernel to be chosen?

IIRC, such incorrect CPU detections have already been reported for the
sarge installer. What would be much more interesting for us now is
knowing whether the Debian 4.0 "etch" installer chooses the right
kernel for this machine.
If you can do it, we suggest you try downloading a "netinst" CD
(http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/) and try with it.
Given that nothing will really be changed in the sarge installer, we
prefer closing bug reports related to that version of the Debian installer.
