I realise this report is now two years old, but that's at least part of
the request in the second-last message...
Very nice, indeed. Oddly enough, when I last reinstalled Etch on that
system, the Highpoint driver didn't cause the hanging issue that I
reported so perhaps the issue that I had with that bit of the kernel has
been corrected.
With my problem being resolved (in two different ways as well) I'm
closing this bug report.
