No idea about this particular problem. It is outside the scope of the installer. What X.Org video driver are you using? The default ones or the non-free ones from nVidia? In the last case you should not expect too much support. If you're using the free driver, I suggest you file a bug report against the package that provides the driver. If you don't know which driver you are using, check the "Device" section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
