No, it is indeed not supported ATM though it probably could be. It has been on my "to investigate" list for some time, but I've never gotten around to it. It will need some changes in several partman components. The powerpc port does something similar for prep partitions, so it could be possible. However, I'm not sure if powerpc also uses a different partition type for the prep partition and the fact that PALO requires that could be a complicating factor.
