Could you please switch to VT2 after booting the installer (using alt-F2) and give us the output of 'lspci -nn'? We'll need at least the full lines for your harddisk controller and any network cards. You may also be able to use the "save logs' option from the main menu of the installer to get this info (use the <go back> button until you see the menu).
