Hi! The idea was to create an installation cd but without utilizing package managers to install to hd but to let that a user that for example uses this installation cd will have the packages installed for his/her own computer, for example with a kernel compiled for i486, or amd64 etc.. and the single packages configure to pass the right options for their cpu instead for example of installing a package compiled for a generic i386 or i486 etc...
