Package: debian-installer
Severity: grave
Current netinst package is broken. Installation stops just before
"Detecting network hardware ..." step. There is no way to run it (d-i
returns to main menu). Most of translations are missing in main menu. In
syslog there are many string like "INFO: Falling back to the package
description".

For some reason the installer has conflicting versions of cdebconf after
loading additional components: cdebconf-udeb is upgraded to 0.106, while
cdebconf-newt-udeb remains at 0.105. Apparently the two are not
compatible and cause the problems.
This must me due to a timing issue between the building of the initrd and
the CD.
As this should be resolved with the new builds, I'm closing your report.
Cheers,
