Yep, I know. I've two idea: a. split d-i by languages (we had discussed about this at Extremadura i18n meeting). I think it's better to separate Chinese/Japanese/ Korean each other because each languages use their own big font. As a temporary solution, ttf-cjk-compact has "possible" (but uncertainly) characters.
