This patch asks the password as two separate questions (with a separate "db_go" for each "db_input", while it is also possible (and much nicer, especially in the graphical installer) to have them asked in the same "db_go". Could you modify the patch to ask the questions together? The script user-setup-ask for package user-setup has examples of the coding.
