See, it would be fixed and in the tree already if i had access myself. > > Still, i don't understand why svn commit access was taken away from me, and > > i > > don't see any technical reason for this having happened, since i never > > misused > > it, and even when you took over, i did my best to help you as best i could, > > and gave you all the information i had. > > Indeed; thank you for that. > > As far as I know (though I have no administrative access here), it was > removed because you explicitly declared that you were no longer > interested in working on d-i: I was particularly not interested in being constantly blamed by frans, even though i only tried to be helpful to our users. > http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2006/03/msg01075.html > > (though I realise that was sent during a fraught time, and don't > particularly want to get involved in the argument in question; but > still, it's basically a resignation letter) As main powerpc porter yes. It doesn't say i would not have tried to fix partman-prep for example, which is still broken, as i have the hardware for it, or tried to get the apus 2.6 kernels into .udebs, since i know you will not spare the time to do it. Also, i doubt anyone before me was removed svn commit right for such groubds. > Which all reminds me, I need to set up miboot-enabled builds RSN ... Indeed. I have kept my own buildd working for now though, so people always have a possibility to find a working miboot floppy (haven't have time to do any check with the 2.6.16 miboot floppies though yet).
