Without any user intervention other that having plugged his braille device? (or put some parameters on the kernel command line, for serial devices). _That's_ the point. And remember that the blind person is not alone in front of the machine, so that you need to have some synchronization between what is displayed on the screen and on the braille device. Is it possible to run several synchronized front-ends? Having brltty just read what bterm displays is really a fine solution for this.
