Hmm. With one negative side effect: you now see the buttons "flicker" quite often when they are refreshed. This happens when the progress bar moves (or maybe when the text below the progress bar is updated). To what event is the refresh now linked? Is it possible to find an event that is on a higher level, like initializing a new progress bar, or maybe even the point where normally a new menu is started (although I guess this "event" may not be recognizable in the frontend).
