7) I installed the desktop task, but X didn't come up. It complained about not finding a screen for the mach64 card (i have a radeon), so i guessed this is another case of the radeon wrapper not knowing about the card's pci id, i will follow up with the X folk on this. I moved the device to radeon, and then X just hanged without a screen. I guess this is the X 6.9 / powerpc / radeon bug that was mentioned earlier.
