Given that Ubuntu relases are mostly based on d-i RC code, I guess the result would be the same. However, if a Ubuntu install suceeds, then it's likely that D-I would suceed as well. So, if there's an opportunity to test Ubuntu, just do it..:-) (I don't have the full bug log under my eyes so I can't tell if the reported bug is still relevant, though)
