Even French ? Aaargh..:-) Seriously speaking, I indeed was considering some kind of 3 levels for each language in localechooser: -level 1 : language may be displayed on any ASCII terminal. This restricts the list to English and very few other languages (ATM, I'm aware of Indonesian and Malagasy) -level 2 : language is OK for any ISO-Latin1 capable terminal such as several serial consoles. This includes most so-called Western European languages -level 3 : language needs a working framebuffer for being displayable -(level 4 : language needs a graphical environment...this would be the case for Hindi and all Indic languages) Thus, the possible level would be set at the very beginning of the installation, depending on the environment...and then localechooser would adapt the list of available languages. Anyway, assuming that localechooser replaces lang+country choosers some day, running it even in limited environments such as pure ASCII terminals should be done, for instance for allowing the user to choose a country, or even a locale even if the language is only English. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
