Loading /install/initrd.gz............................ Ready. _ <---- blincking cursor Kayak UW mounts dual processor motherboard (in my case I have only one) with built-it Adaptec AIC-7880 SCSI controller (16 bit, Ultra Wide). System has 2 SCSI discs 9Gb each, no IDE discs and one ATAPI cd-rom reader. Problem seems to be SCSI controller support: I trieded all boot images, and most of the SCSI-related parameters with no luck. It seems to be a kernel regression, support for SCSI controller is broken. Note: if I use Woody 3.0 r3, and boot from the second distro disc typing "linux" the system will find the controller and the installation will carry on. Note2: if I detach the SCSI cable from the motherboard (therefore cutting access to diks) then system boot sequence works (but then, of course, no disks are found...)
