I've been looking at the partman logs attached to the other bugs merged with this one and could not notice any similarities. Could you please submit a clean partman log? Just boot the installer, start partman, go all the way to the main partitioning screen (which displays the whole disk only, right? does it show it as FREE SPACE or nothing at all?), exit partman and save the log /var/log/partman by mounting one of your existing partitions and copying it there. This will hopefully help to understand what's going on.
