Package: Sarge Installer Hi, I think I may have found a problem with the latest debian installer. I have installed debian onto a 2 machines that already had a formatted = ext2 partition. I used this ext2 partition for / and told the installer = to use ext3.=20
When debian boots, /etc/fstab thinks the partition is ext3, but there is = no journal. I created a journal with tune2fs -j /dev/hda2 OK after the = install. from dmesg: ide0 at 0x1f0-0x1f7,0x3f6 on irq 14 ide1 at 0x170-0x177,0x376 on irq 15 hda: attached ide-disk driver. hda: 80043264 sectors (40982 MB) w/2048KiB Cache, CHS=3D79408/16/63, = UDMA(100) Partition check: /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: [PTBL] [4982/255/63] p1 p2 p3 < p5 > Journalled Block Device driver loaded ext3: No journal on filesystem on ide0(3,2) ext3: No journal on filesystem on ide0(3,2) thanks Mike Haber DISCLAIMER: This email is intended solely for the addressee.
