I think this bug can not be found in plain parted because parted works in this way: 1) Read command from the user 2) Open partition table 3) Do what the user wants 4) Write to disk 5) Close the partition table and destroy all structures of libparted 6) goto 1 However partman uses libparted in different way - without 4) and 5) after each command. This week I will send you a simple program to check if the problem exists. I can be used on every platform (not only sun).
