After tasksel, I interrupted aptitude downloading packages because the mirror I chose turned out to be too slow; I then was thrown into the base-config menu. I chose "configure apt", expecting to be asked again what mirror to use and given a chance to change my mind. But it just reused my previous answers and regenerated /etc/apt/sources.list (commenting out the lines that were already there and adding fresh lines for the mirror I originally chose). It actually asks me "add another apt repository", but if I answer "yes", it just updates /etc/apt/sources.list again, runs "aptitude update" (or something like that) and asks the question again; no chance to actually choose another apt repository. -- Lionel --------------------------------------- Received: (at 278566-close) by bugs.debian.org; 31 Oct 2004 21:08:28 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 31 13:08:28 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1COMw8-0003Wz-00; Sun, 31 Oct 2004 13:08:28 -0800 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1COMpu-00019V-00; Sun, 31 Oct 2004 16:02:02 -0500 From: Joey Hess <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.51 $ Subject: Bug#278566: fixed in base-config 2.51 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sun, 31 Oct 2004 16:02:02 -0500 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Source: base-config Source-Version: 2.51 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of base-config, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: base-config_2.51.dsc to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.51.dsc base-config_2.51.tar.gz to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.51.tar.gz base-config_2.51_all.deb to pool/main/b/base-config/base-config_2.51_all.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
