Sorry, I searched for debian-installer bugs and found the name and package partconf. Please move the bug to a more suitable package. > > 1. Create a partition > > 2. You mean you cannot confirm this? I tried it two times like described above. Maybe some more infos to my system are needed. My main partition is /dev/hda with my main system. For Windows and playing I have a second disk /dev/hdb. $ fdisk -l Disk /dev/hda: 120.0 GB, 120060444672 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 14596 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hda1 * 1 6 48163+ 83 Linux /dev/hda2 7 91 682762+ 83 Linux /dev/hda3 92 14596 116511412+ 8e Linux LVM Disk /dev/hdb: 80.0 GB, 80026361856 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9729 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hdb1 * 1 3824 30716248+ 7 HPFS/NTFS /dev/hdb2 3825 9729 47431912+ f W95 Ext'd (LBA) /dev/hdb5 3825 5099 10241406 83 Linux /dev/hdb6 5100 9729 37190443+ 83 Linux The /dev/hdb5 is the partition I tried to install in. It was a former FAT32 file system with partition type 0xc. I will try it again and report the exact grub error when called from console. I have no floppy to write the logfile for debugging. If I try to write it, it failes finding a floppy and there logfile is no in /target/var/log/debian-installer, too.
