Hi, I am working on a custom Ubuntu distribution, making changes both in the installer (I'd like to backport debian's partman) and in the packages list.
I've downloaded Ubuntu's branch of debian-cd, but can't understand how to build debian-installer so that debian-cd scripts can use it. The only info I've found is on http://wiki.debian.net/index.cgi?DebianInstallerBuild, which doesn't seem to be up to date. Could somebody point me to relevant documentations, or describe the process of building debian-installer, then building a CD with it ? (Do I need to actually build debian-installer if I'm only backporting debian's partman to ubuntu ?)
