Hi I have just tried with the 2004-10-26 netinst cd. I mainly works with kernel 2.4.27 on the Dual Xeon machine described earlier. I recommend this bug to be closed.
There seems to remain a small glitch with the Promise IDE card. At first reboot (and thereafter) the raid volume on the two disks attached to it during the first installation phase, fail fsck because the devices are not found. But close this anyway, I'll try to find the cause of this separately.
